WHAT THE COURSE COVERS
Soft restraint equipment is a more sensitive, less stigmatising way of holding someone without prolonged manual restraint. Made from tough cloth with a hook and loop fastening, it complements your existing restraint training and offers a more humane alternative to traditional handcuffs. Our one day course shows your team how to use it safely.
By the end of the course, you will be able to:
• Understand soft restraint equipment and the law
• Apply and remove soft restraint equipment safely
• Manage and move a person in soft restraint equipment
• Manage a person in soft restraint equipment on the floor
• Complete incident reporting
• Provide post-incident care
