Combined Positive Behaviour Support (PBS) and PMVA course
At Personal Safety Partnership we understand that individuals with complex needs coupled with challenging behaviour can display aggression and violence towards family members, caregivers or themselves. Our combined Positive Behaviour Support (PBS) and PMVA course empowers a person-centred approach to identifying and meeting a person’s support needs, particularly if someone is distressed and at risk of harming themselves or others. PBS is most commonly used to support people with learning disabilities, some of whom may also be autistic, but can also be used to support others with challenging behaviour. Our comprehensive 1 day course provides you and your team with the skills to assess an individual and build and implement a Positive Behaviour Support plan, and includes PBS and PMVA. Certification: all those who successfully complete the course will be certified in Personal Safety Partnership's Combined Positive Behaviour Support (PBS) and PMVA course. Who uses our course: schools, colleges and universities; specialist education settings; care providers; healthcare professionals; secure units; families supporting individuals; social workers; government agencies; individuals and community groups. What you need to know: duration 2-4 days; number of attendees up to 12; course type in-person.
